Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, I will be able to:
1. Demonstrate the leadership knowledge and skills necessary for the provision of evidence-based nursing care to improve health and safety outcomes. (Clinical Judgment/ Evidence-based Practice)
2. Evaluate the role of health care technology as a mechanism to improve the provision of safe, quality nursing care. (Informatics).
3. Evaluate the inherent challenges and benefits of implementing change in the health care environment for the delivery of quality and safe care for individuals, families, and communities. (Leadership, Clinical Judgement)
4. Demonstrate self-awareness, incorporating the leadership skills required to build and support a healthy work environment and the goals of the interprofessional team. (Leadership, Interprofessionalism, Self-Care)
